What are your rates?
Simply good bodywork: My unique decade-in-the-making ninety minute blend of technical massage, heartfelt swedish and yummy full body stretches. Prior to and during the massage I will listen to you carefully and closely, then touch you the same way. Let me know the areas that need addressing, the pressure you respond to and that will be our starting point. No two simply good bodywork sessions are alike (Available for incall/outcall $120 $150)
Do you offer couples massage?
Yes. I offer a custom tailored integral blend of classic swedish, technical massage, and nurturing touch. Couples massages are available side by side (two therapists), one after the other, or in the form of a "mini class". The focus of the simply good bodywork couples massage is to promote healing, pleasure and integration of body-mind-spirit through elevated nurturing energy awareness. The playful and fun mini-class is formed and informed as we go and it is my hope that you learn some new massage stroke to share with each other after our session has ended. All couples massages are bracketed only by the potential of group/self-discovery, playful healing, and actively respecting boundaries and issues of personal safety for the giver(s) and receiver(s). (Outcalls only $300)
Are you trained?
Yes. I graduated from Tucson's Desert Institute of the Healing Arts with a Thousand hour Diploma in August of 1998. I expanded my massage horizons during a one year residency at Big Sur's Esalen Institute. The learning never stops as I have taken workshops in India, from Body Electric School of Massage , and the Upledger institute.
What style of massage do you practice?
Integrated. After 10 years of bodywork I like to think that my massage is intuitive and a dance. Some of the moves include: sensual Swedish, focused deep tissue, trigger points, full body stretches and Esalen holding. I believe a good massage is a shared journey, not just a series of techniques.
How many massages do you do a day?
I believe that massage should be a personal, unique and energy-filled experience. Because I believe in quality bodywork and put so much energy it, I limit my massage appointments to no more then two per day and ten per week.
Can I be in the nude?
Of course. I believe that massage should be about comfort and connection. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and connected.
Do you do erotic work?
No. My massage offering includes touch of your whole body . To me, good massage elevates conciousness through the melding of sensual/therapeutic and integrated touch. During portions your massage I blend in yummy adductor stretches and strokes, gentle perineal release and soothing groin massage techniques to raise energy and honor the natural whole person. However, I prefer to integrate and facilitate the spreading of eros energy rather than release of it during your massage. Consequently, a "release" or a "happy ending" is not the focus or the end of my work. There are so many people in the Bay area who do offer explicitly erotic work and and they are very easy to find in the classifieds of several free weekly papers, gay themed massage sites, myredbook, etc. If erotic release is what you seek please book with someone who advertises the appropriate services for you.
Do you use a table?
Always. Body mechanics and the longevity of my massage career depend on having a table which is adjusted to an appropriate height.
Do you use oil or lotion?
I use Biotone's clear results oil. If you have special oil needs its a good idea to bring a bottle to your session.
I have a cold, is massage good for me?
Maybe, however, I don't need to get sick too. Please wait until you feel better to schedule your massage.
What can I do to get a fulfilling massage experience?
Breathe fully and deeply. Sound, and/or tell me when something feels really good. Relax, let go and enjoy.
Who do you prefer working with?
After ten years of doing bodywork my preference is to work with clients who are open to receiving good massage and who have a modicum of cleanliness. I have no preference to the shape, sex, age or sexuality of my clients.
